Everytime I hear stories like this I think to myself, we humans, as a race, have failed.............miserably.

A/C hurts gas mileage you know he doesn't want that. He probly had his windows open so he can bother all the people around him by "showing off"

this was already stated earlier in the thread, and it depends on how fast you are going ala mythbusters. IF he was going slow which i'm pretty sure he was, then the gas mileage affected would not be that high.

Well the car wasn't his. It was my 14 year old cousin driving his dads civic and No I didnt get out of it had to pay every fing dollar. And the official citation was for allowing an unauthorized person to operate a motor vehicle. O ya and my cousin one year later some how has his lisence. Somthing about since he didnt have a liscence to lose in the first place nothing happens besides the speeding ticket he had to pay.

You actually sat there and let a FOURTEEN year old SPEED in a car that wasn't his... and you wonder why the court gave you a fine??

Depends how fast your going. Do you watch Myth Busteres? At certain speeds rolling the windows down reduce the aerodynamics and it becomes more economic to run the a/c.

Not sure if anyone else said this because I'm not reading all the way to the end.

They originally screwed up their test with a purely theoretical measurement. They revisted it twice and determined that below 50MPH you're better off with the windows down.

At 12:34am i was on my way home through town, playing whered you go by fort minor. A cop pulls me over and gives me a ticket for "loud sound". The price of it is $102. I've never been pulled over before, had a perfect record, but the **** pig didn't even think about letting me off with a warning. I'm just wondering but will this loud sound ticket go on my record and raise my insurance etc...?? And whats ironic about this is while i was waiting for him to write it, i saw and heard a loud *** harley cruise by, and not a few blocks away there was a loud *** party going on which i heard well with my windows up. Then a few blocks from that theres a bar which had a band inside playing loud *** music. I only had my volume up at 24/34, with only the front windows down. The area i was around while playing was a industrial area with all the stores closed, but i was coming up on a residential area. Should i even consider contesting this???

its nto a moving violation so now it wont raise your insurance. go to court to contest, if it doesnt cost, if he shows up plead guilty and pay. if not you win.

its automatic dimissal. Well at least in FL, GA and MD. they say "officer so and so is not present, how do you plead" and you say not guilty then they say go sing some BS paper.

plead guilty if you dont plan on fighting it the normal way. Also only do that if you dont have to pay any court fees and shit.
