Plz explain

all you need to know is that your amp can produce the power you're setting the gain for without clipping -- it's pretty well recognized the HF's are a little over-rated so I'd use 1800w (assuming you're wiring it at 1 ohm) and set the gain accordingly using your soon-to-be-purchased DMM. BTW - someone posted a link to a DMM at Harbor Freight for $3.

anyway -

V = Sqrt(P x R)

where -

V=target voltage

P=amp power

R=resistance at amp (nominal)

V=sqrt(1800 x 1)

V= 42.5

You shouldn't be allowed to work on mobile electronics without a DMM...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Really no excuse for it, considering how useful it is...also could save your *** from a safety perspective, too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
