Me and my buddy got bored today and decided to blow up thie 12'' audiobahn high exursion sub he had under his bed. Only lasted 2 seconds. I decided to take it apart to see whats inside //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif . What i discovered are audiobahns are big pieces of crap! These things are absolut junk, glad i never fell into that fad.

Just don't get the thought that all audiobahn subs are pieces of crap like that. That is why i do not install the 00 series( high excursion ) because i know from experience that those are "value" subs. I only use the sound Q and above. I did the same thing with the a Ultra Excursion sub ( 1005Q ). Plugged it in the wall, lasted 4 mins.. i timed it actualy 4 mins and 12 second. Took it apart and tried to get the magnets alone but i cannot break that front plate or rearplate/pole piece off of there with a sledge hammer ( Literally ). The Alum and above series are made very well in my opinion.. better than any other sub i have worked with.. exept for the XXX.. that's a beautiful piece of work. But yes i do agree with you when you say the high excursion 00 series sub is crap. I can get you pictures of the motor and the voice coil ( which i had to cut off because it does NOT come loose from the cone by any means. Nor the surround from the basket. The spider did come off after i unscrewed and broke the glue seal of it.. but it's designed to come apart like that.

Yeah i just took my trusty cold steel knife and cut the surround then cut around the spider. I havent seen there higher end stuff apart so i am not going to go and say there crap to. But i will say the high excursions are.

does the outlet in the garage put out more power than inside cause i pluged my shocker inside my house and it took it fine, then i did it in the garage and kabooom it was done in a sec.

Eh deleted em but ill retake the pictures of the Motor and voice coil and frame ( only parts saved )

Oh and if i had a vid camera i woulda taken a video of it since the first time I did it yall asked for one.
