Think I might have to do away with the mirror idea and just paint the inside of the box nicely

We used to paint the inside of the box gloss whte. Then use blacklight paint and paint logo's designs or what have ou one the inside of the box. Then when we cut out the whole We left a lip a couple of inches all the way around to support the glass. It also gave plenty of room to hide a lovely little blacklight to make our designs glow. Every once in a while I would get a wild hair up my butt and etch designs on the plexi and edge light it with neon to make the etched design glow. Yeah, thats what my plan is, well almost. To paint inside of the box white. But, the rest of what you said, may be beyond my ability. Im not an artist at all so etching may be difficult. haha yeah i saw that too and was shocked but....it is 3inch plexi... I mean the rest is reasonably priced I guess, thick plexiglass is expensive, its not the 1/8inch lexan shit at home depot, plexiglass is spendy.. If I was looking to do 3/4" plexi in my trunk i would expect to spend around $250-300.
