plexi glass?

so i was thinkin i wanted to put a 18x 38" peice of plexi glass on the front of my box and hace the sub on the top so that you could see the whole inside of the box and the sub. but i was like shit sheit how do i seal the plexi glass with out making it look like crap? and i was also wondering how much it would cost for a 3/4" x 18" x 38" peice of plexi glass? anyone care to help me?

You could seal it with clear silicone.

closed cell foam strip tape and pre-drilled screws or t-nuts and bots or hurricane nuts and WASHERS or broad head bolts. g/l. The thicker, the better for not cracking.

i was thinkin maybe i could dado the center of the mdf all the way around and then put a strip of ruber tube in it and that would seal it but i donno how well that would seal it?

i would say to use some clear sealent and then on the plexi paint a 1/2 inch to a inch black or whatever color border you wanted, i think that looks really nice

this is a good idea. Then if you wanted additional strength, you could use screw mounts.

if you want to be absolutly certain your plexi won't crack while drilling holes, use a solder gun to melt the hole. (good ventilation is STRONGLY reccomended here)

plexi is very expensive by the sheet, unless you head to scrap yards.

For your size, it will probably be close to $100 or so. I was looking for a sheet of 1/2" that was 15" by 22" and it was about $45.
