I have an 1100W amp (will realistically get 1000W from it) that will to feed my subwoofer(s). Now I'm looking to buy subs. I have enough room for a proper enclosure (in SUV) for any of the following options, and my budget will allow for any choice. Given the option would you:

A. Marginally power two mid-level, quality 12's (500W to ea. 750W RMS sub)

B. Completely power two entry-level, quality 12's with a little headroom (500W to ea. 400W RMS sub)

C. Over power one mid-level, quality 12---think lots of headroom (1000W to a single 750W RMS sub)

D. Completly power a single entry-level 15 (1000W to a single 1000W RMS sub)

E. Marginally power a single mid-level 15 (1000W to a single 1500W RMS sub)

Ive ran SA 12s on as little as 300w before rise. Iirc it still did around 136 in a trunk on that low of power.

So id vote 2 sa12, although the newest E's perform very close to the SAs

2. How much room do you have for a box?

3. What vehicle?

4. Will you be using a prefab box or a custom built one.

All of these details could change the recommendations.

E? Single sundown SA15 or American bass XFL 15 or a SSA Gcon. A custom built box can and will make any of these sound good on almost any power

Expeditions have so much space that's great. Xfl 15 and custom enclosure (t-line perhaps?)

If it was me, I would do option A, with option E as a close second.

i would do 1 sa 12 or 15, u could do 2 sa's but they would want more power
