Please review my setup and give input!

I'm new to the car audio scene and was hoping I could get some input from the experts.

[x] Pioneer AVH-P7800DVD

[x] Speaker Wire - 4x 20FT Monster Cable XLN 16GA

[ ] Focal 100KRS all around (I chose this because I need a shallow mount)

[ ] JL 1000/1 amp

[ ] JL 300/4 amp

[ ] JL 10 W6V2 (x2)

[ ] Distribution Block

[ ] 2/4 guage power wires + fuse

[ ] Optima Yellowtop

[ ] Capacitor

I would like to know the following:

-is this a "decent" setup? I am aiming for SQ. Tired of loud muddy systems and want to do it once, and do it right.

-what should I look for when purchasing power wires for my amp? what size fuse and wires should I aim for with my current setup?

dont get me wrong JL makes great products.. but you can find stuff cheaper that will compare..

I can hardly afford it. It's only a 328 base model //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

At what point is a capacitor actually needed? I didn't have a cap in my old car, and it killed my battery pretty fast. I was running a single JL 12W7 and nothing else. My lights would flicker with my stock battery.

[ ] Optima Yellowtop - Choose a better battery here. Maybe two.

[ ] Capacitor - Delete the cap!

everything you are getting is quality, but you can get equipment that is better or or par for much cheaper.

you never need a cap.

spend the money wisely and get another battery or small batcap.. which would do like 100x more and only be slightly more expensive. (just make sure its a sealed/dry cell befre putting one in the trunk)

and like both me an penn said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the stuff you picked out.. im sure it will sound, look great, meet all your expectations and then some.. but if you're strapped for cash, there are alternatives
