If you wanna go for lows in that power range, and at that tuning, I'd recommend the Skars as well... I don't know how you can have your box tuned as low as 25hz and still want to play all the way up to 80hz... But I've heard them pound the lows, they are beasts.

My current sub plays well above 100 hz, and it destroys 20 hz. The lows are slightly louder than the highs by about 2 dbs (cabin gain and all). The main problem is that my sub bottoms out a bit above tuning before the tuning effect begins to reduce excursion. So, I'm thinking more Xmax might be the key.

I highly doubt this, have you had it metered? Something tells me you haven't.

I'd go with something custom made, it will suit your needs the best. Next best is an SSA product. either the Icon or Xcon.
