please help

Ok i was lookin at 2 different woofers. Well they are the same kind but one was a 4ohm dvc and the other was a 2 ohm dvc. What is the difference. Which would be the best to buy. and im thinkin about hookin 3 12's up to a JBL 1200 and some other 600W amp. or a fosgate 1000bd and 500.1bd amp. please help with the ohm thing

Well, ohm = The unit of measure for electrical resistance.

And resistance = The ratio of voltage and current.

So a DVC 4ohm + 4ohm will allow less current through compared to the DVC 2ohm + 2ohm sub.

most amps are not stable at 2 ohms or below.....so if a 2 ohm sub wired in parallel will produce a 1 ohm load and in series will produce a 4 ohm load....hope that helped
