Please Help!

I have a Sundown 1500 that i wired up and when i turn the car on, the power light comes on, then the sub "bumps" one time, then the amp goes into protect. I would really appreciate any input.

Disconnect the leads going to the sub and the RCA inputs then turn the car on again, report back with results.

tried that, when i turn the car on it powers on but then it clicks and goes into protect.

its always worked before this in my old car

4 ohm. the same thing happens when only the power, ground, and remote are plugged in. would the remote have anything to do with it?

to look inside. sounds like u just have a short some where.

ya sounds like a short check all of your wires to make sure there is no bare wire touching somethin. and all the connections are tight at the battery,amp and the fuse holders(if u got any). HU may be a problem too tho
