Amp inputs and 8v preouts on deck???

Was looking at my amps manual. It states that the recommended volt inputs from the hu should be 5v max. My hu has 8v outs. Would I run into trouble here? Anything that I should adjust on hu or will it just be fine?

You will be fine....I've run several 8v Eclipse headunits with several different amps, including the Rockford Poweer series amps. I even ran the exact amp you have a while back with them. I've never had any issues.

should be fine..you are gettin the max signal for the amp,and ill bet it sounds pretty good/and clean

I've had amps that didn't like my Eclipse deck.

The implications are that you might run the amp to full output before the HU volume is at max.
