This is my first time with a set up this powerful and I really need it to get right.

DC 5K with proper electrical on 2 XL m2 12s. I know I need more port area but that shouldnt effect the issue Im having now. I set the gain at -10db on the DD-1 so I shouldnt be clipping.

This is the issue. Example, on the song "Money Man" on the higher bass note I get a nice loud pop. I have to back the gain down pretty far to get it to stop. The lows are totally fine. They are still pretty stiff but it could be over excursion? I always thought that would happen on the lows not the 50-50hz range. I can also back the LPF down and get it to stop but that takes away a lot of output.

The new box will be 3 cubes after displacement with 16sq inches of port per cube unless somebody has a better idea.

Any ideas what is happening?

32hz about 4 cubes internal after displacement. It only happens with songs like that with those higher hard bass lines.

ill get a vid up tomorrow. Im sure you will be able to hear it

whats the box tuned to,sounds like the subs are bottoming out.not popping
Its the box. They are bottoming out. Its to much power and peaking to high for my box, they hate it. It just gave me a good reason to lose the seat. What do you think, 3 cubes internal after displacement with 48sq of slot port? Tuned around 35
