Hello all,
So last night I was driving home from my shop booming some old school Bass 305 , when my mids and tweeters all of the sudden made hideous noises and sent two of my PPI amps into protect mode.
I pulled over and opened the hatch of my Explorer only to notice that the voltage on my seccond battary was all the way down to eight volts:crap: .
With the engine running and a HO alt the battary will not charge any more than eight volts. I went home and started testing everything with a VOM , and found that at the alt I have 17.5 volts. At the isolater I have 16.8 volts. But at the terminal on the isolater for the seccond battary I only have 9volts unless I disconnect the cable for the seccond battary then I have 16 volts:crap: . WTF Is going on I have checked all of my power and groung connections and they are all secure.
I am planning to run a sepirate 1/0 from the front batt to the rear batt for the ground to see if that helps tonight. I have allready done the big three and I have been using this system for two weeks with no problems. Has anyone had this problem? Please help Thank you in advance.
