please help with building an enclosure

i wanna build a spl port and daliy use port and i wanna use the ports that come out of the box and make with 3/4 mdf wood and when i go to competitions just bolt it on, but first how would i caculate the length of a port like that? i wanna use a square port just keep it simple and on the spl port how many htz should i tune it to? does higher herts mean higher decible readings? and its for one sub only please someone help i know how to make a sub enclosure and caculate the port and everything else just how do you caculate the port length when its coming out of the box

I think it'd be easier to do what you wanna do with an external aeroport (round). Thats what I did.
