PLEASE HELP!!! sub problem!

Hi guys, I know a bit about car audio but seem not to know the cause and solution to my problem. When I switch my remote switch on my sub does not turn on. When I pull out the speaker wire and reattach it back to the sub it starts working again BUT the sub is caved in and remains caved in while it functions. When I switch the wires from neg to pos and pos to neg it balloons out and again it remains that way while it functions. I have a JL w7 housed with a JL H.O. Box(ported) can anyone at all shine some light on my situation please. Thanks in advance guys.
