Hi guys
This morning I installed my us amps 400x ( the big one) in my car with an rl-s and bridged it to 4-ohms. I hooked it up and everything worked. I set the gains with my dmm and drove it around for about 10 minutes. I got home and noticed the amp was really hot. My first guess was that I was starving the amp of power so I checked the voltage drop at the amp and it was dropping to 12.75 at the lowest during a real strong song. I debated and decided that I would take the setup back out until I could make some input blocks for the 400x because it has those stupid terminal types inputs on it. So I began putting my old setup back in (NINe.1 and eclipse 9122). I got it all hooked up and turned it on to some nasty static in my speakers and my sub doing full excursion no matter what it was supposed to be playing. Lets just say that I was confused. So I took the rcas out of my 9.1 and the static stopped (along with the sub of course). Thinking it was my rca cable, I took one of the cables from my kar 300.4 to try that channel and it does the same thing. Now I was thinking it had to be the amp. So i took my phone and a headphone to rca cable and hooked it up to my amp and it worked fine. NOw I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with my setup. Any advise would be helpful.
Thanks
Justin
