I just got a new phone, that does email and all that stuff. Its a Motorola Q from Sprint. I have never setup an outlook account or whatever, and Im just not real knowledgeable with computers. It asks me for an incoming mail server and outgoing mail server. What is this and how do I find out what info to put in there? If it helps, I want to add the email tied in with my Fisher Customs website.

Thanks for any help guys.

It usually means you must input your email provider to act as a server for outlook.

Example:

IlikeCars@msn.com

DRZ9255Rulz@yahoo.com

Outlook does not act as an email server(exchange server) unless its on a networked system. Even then you have a dedicated server(exchange server). Example:

Server 1 handles all last names from A to H, Server 2 handles I to R ect ect....

So outlook needs a server ie your email provider to act as the server.

I hope I did not confuse you. I tried to explain it in simple terms.

What version of outlook software is your phone running? example outlook express 6

I link outlook express to my msn so I do not have to log into msn all the **** time and it easier to manage.

I didnt have time to mess with it much today/tonight. Ill let you guys know if I get it to work or not. I may need more help.

If I was using a hotmail or yahoo email account I think it would be easy, because it searches for all the info on it automatically.

But since im using my @fishercustoms.com account, I just dont know where to find the server info.
