Please Help Me Settle This

Ok what would be louder and we are talking just loud no sq and please be honest this has been a big argument for a while at our shop. The argument is between these two systems we are talking best box possible and the same vehicle. First system one 13" W7 with 500watts rms to it. And the second system is 3 12" audiobahn alumQ's with 1600watts rms. I personally think that this should not even be an argument but hopefully this will settle it if I get enough responses.

yeah i think the audiobahn because they are mostly spl subs, and the jl is mostly has good sq...............

How is that even a question? With over triple the power and nearly triple the cone area, there is no possible way the W7 could be louder, at that point I'm almost willing to say the install wouldn't make the audiobahn lose. It has nothing to do with one being an SQ woofer and one being spl. The XXX is an SQ woofer, and look what it can do, SQ is created in the install, not in the sub (95% of the time). 3 Subs with triple power would be louder than 1 13w7.

The 3 audiobahns hands down. Even if you were to feed the W7 with about 1000 watts I still dont think it would go over the 3 audiobahns.

Besides the surface area, the JL would need a crap load more power to run efficiently. A Solo X running 800 watts would lose to my two Comp VR's running at 600 PPI watts. The speaker needs its minimum to operate well. 500 watts to a 13 W7 just isn't enough power.

No kidding? I guess you didn't understand the point I was trying to make. I KNOW the three Audiobahns would win just by "surface area" alone. Pay attention to the whole post.
