Please Help! I'm Getting No Power

This is currently how my set up is but I am getting no power.I have a 0 gauge wire running from my battery to my trunk and it goes into a power block. one output on the power block is I believe is 6 or 8 gauge and is connected to the mono amp. The other output is a 0 gauge and is connected to the capacitor and an another 6 or 8 power cable gauge runs from the capacitor to the 4 channel amp. The capacitor has a 0 gauge wire grounded. the 2 amps run a ground cable to a ground block which is grounded to where the capacitor grounded.

Does everything sound alright? I am not getting any power am I missing something? Both amps have fuses and are fine. The power cable running from the battery to the power block has a 150Amp fuse which is fine.

Did you check the remote wire? That's what tells the amps to turn on. So you're using the capacitor for the 4 ch amp? Why?

Does either amp turn on? If the capacitor has a digital voltage readout, does that turn on?

If you haven't done it yet, get a DMM and measure voltages at Batt, power blocks, caps and both amps. Use the ground block as reference.

Check the remote turn on wires to the amps as well.

Thanks for the input everyone.

The remote wire for both amps was connected to the cap. Should I just ditch that and run it to the deck?

The cap does have a digital display on it but nothing would turn on, the cap didn't turn on and neither the 2 amps

Completed take out the capacitor, it's not doing anything for you. Rewire so that everything goes from the deck to the amps, hope that works. If it doesn't, double check the remote wire - though, I say just run new remote wires if possible so you can eliminate that. If problem persists, replace the inline fuse.

This should be easy to diagnose with a multimeter. simply start probing your positive and negative at your amplifier, and then work your way up to the source (battery). If you have 12v+ at your amp terminals - turn your headunit on, and probe the remote line for 12v+

didnt notice but he already told you to do this

do this.

I'll take out the cap and start the re-wire with the remote line, if that doesn't work I'll diagnose it with a volt meter. Right now is raining so I'll have to wait. Ill update as soon as I can.

Thanks.

Sorry everyone. We've had some crazy weather over here. I finally got power though. It seem like the remote line got loose along the way. and now everything powers up perfect.

But now another issue has occurred if someone doesn't mind helping me out. I get this loud constant buzzing noise and you also hear more noise if I push the gas pedal and you can hear the windshield wipers when there being used.

The power cable is ran through the passenger side and the rca cables on the driver side. What else could it be? My ground?

Ground or gain to high
