Okay so I bought a new distrobution block about 2 weeks ago an dropped it in.

Today I started the car up and i noticed the sub wasn't hitting so i popped the trunk and went to go take a look and just as I got back there it kicked in.

Thing is I noticed the distro block on the subwoofer out side was sparking near the fuse and was extremely hot for just turning the car on. What in the world could the problem be. I've made sure all my connections are secure etc.

I'm just not sure what to do.

Could be numerous things. Could be trying to draw too much power. Could be a loose connection. I know you checked but it still happens even after people swear they checked. Could be some loose wire grounding out. Could also be a bad ground...

Distibution black was from the Install bay I got it splitting a 0 guage to two 4 guages. one 80 amp fuse the sparking fuse is 160amp

This is the fourth block to end up ****ing up so obviously something is wrong. The first three blocks were Knukonceptz blocks.

It's wierd though, somedays I can bump and it won't ever get hot. but just starting the car up made it really hot.

I'm tryign to find pics of the current block now

Check the power cables and make sure they are not grounding out any where, particuarly at the firewall, or where ever it enters the body at. It's possible you have a small spot grounding out, 160 amps is a pretty good bit of current, so it could be that it doesn't draw quite enough to pop that fuse?

this is pretty much what i was thinking...

Thanks for your help guys. I just dropped the car off at the shop for some other shit but when I get it back I guess it's time to just re-wire everything.
