PLEASE HELP charging power cap

i have just purchased a 1 farad power cap the f**king thing did not come with any charging or fitting instructions the only stuff with it is a resister and brackets as this is my first cap i havent got a clue how to charge or fit.can someone please give me some advice

The resistor is there to limit the inrush current when you first start to charge it. The cap should be labled with the positive and negative terminals. When you get ready to install the cap and charge it, put the resistor inline with the positive terminal of the cap. In other words. Power cable, resistor, capacitor terminal. Leave on a min or so, probably wont even take that long to charge. Then remove the resistor and finish your wiring. Another way is take a 12V light bulb and wire in series with the cap. Connect the power and when the light goes out its charged...
