ok so today i was working on mounting my front and rear speakers. they have been in the car for a while, i was just mounting them better than the original job i did.

ok so the stereo was workin fine all day, everytime i made a tweak to the mounting and turn it on to see how it sounded. got done on the fronts fine and was workin on the rear left. wen i went to turn on the stereo, no sound out of ANY speakers. keep in mind i didnt touch any electrical. ok so i checked my headunit, connections were fine. checked every fuse in both fuse boxes and nothing wrong. fuse on the headunit it fine as well. the headunit still powers on and does everything it should, exept no sound it comin from anywhere.

so im am now completely stuck as to what i should do.

1st. I'm suprised u have all that equipment but didn't manage to get a amp for the speakers.

2nd ur never suppose to mess with the wiring/placement (cause u could loosen the wiring somehow) with the stereo on/power connect.

Lastly I'm pretty sure pioneer's have fuses inside the head unit it self. That could be the fuse for the HU's internal amp, maybe that got blown.

If you can find a speaker laying around, try connecting a different speaker (without an amp). It's a starting point. See if the HU is outputting any sound.

Does your amp power on (if connected to one)?

My advice: get an amp for your comps

But you should check the resistance of the speaker leads at the HU. I think that you shorted one of your speakers while moving it. Touching both leads to metal could have done it. If you find a shorted speaker, you know where to look. You may need to remove the HU to replace an internal fuse, as previously mentioned.

Normally the internal amp on the HU has a protection circuit. You can trip it by connecting a positive and negative speaker wire together.

This should be your first check point. Make sure none of your wires are touching each other. Next a grounded speaker wire will also cause this. Follow your speaker wire line and make sure no points are spliced/split and touching your cars metal.

After that... test the HU itself to make sure it is not blown.

ok im gonna see if the headunit is puttin any signal and look for a blown fuse on the inside. as for runnin the speakers off an external amp, that will come in time, tight budget for the meantime. but yeah, since all 4 speakers arent playing idk what else it might be besides my HU

all speakers work fine. wiring is all good. im convinced i ****ed up my headunit but dunno how. looks like i got no system till i get a new one.

thnx for ur helps tho
