thanks for rubbing it in... lol. Seriously are those boxes i sent links too, good? or should i buy a cheap one and wait for my grandpa to get back in town and attempt to build one? I reall dont know how to draw one up or what materials i need or where to get one.

The ebay post doesn't look too bad but remember that the "tuned" portion will go up when the displacement of the woofers are considered. I can't see how they would know what your displacement is or would be. The box, as it sits is at 32hz which means any size speaker displacement will raise that number. The larger the speaker (sub) the more the effect.

if you want to build it, pm IonSQL for a box design, he charges 10 bucks i believe. you need mdf (buy from homedepot), wood glue, clamps or screws, whatever you plan on using to secure it while the glue dries. and you something to cut the wood with.

the local car audio shop here charges roughly 250 + tax a box

I know it's hard to believe, but the box is just as important,if not more important then the sub...So your title statement is bordering on an oxymoron...not trying to flame but the box is gonna make or break(literally) your subs....

Alright tough guy, lol find me a good box. lol i hate waiting especially when everything else is on its way! lol . If i could just get a good plan for the box that i need, since i have no idea where to start maybe a neighbor could do it for me or something lol. Like port length, how many cubic feet i should have, and what to be tuned at and how the hell you tune it lol.... aw so confusing
