I know people with PS2's that always keep it in the same place in their room and it has never been dropped or taken to a friends house or anything. Those all work perfeclty fine. It seems people who have problems with PS2's usually move it around alot, or has at least dropped it once.

I have a PS2 in my car, it comes everywhere with me, over every speedbump, down every gravel or bumpy road, every time I slam on my brakes. No problems with it yet.
