recently got a flipdown monitor, housing is black in color. i wanted to paint or dye the the trim to match my interior which is tan anyone have a step by step process. I figured sand (what grit), prime then paint but i wanted specifics to be able to accomplish the best finish also type of paint to use would be great

you can use a paint made by krylon which specifically made for painting platics.

the best way to do it is to use a prep chemical---theres one made by plasti-kote--it will remove any surface contamination, then use an adhesion promoter like bulldog or plasti-kote then you can prime and paint it. you can also clear coat it if desired.
