lol don't even take it like that, I wasn't saying you shouldn't. I was just wondering because I've actually seen most people run this sub ported, and I never understood what the point is.

I wanna run a ported box. I have many woofers over last few years, IDMAX 12" two of them in a sealed box. I hated it!! I then had a JL w7 13.5 was pretty bad. Then moved to XXX 15" like that a lot better. Then L7 ****en loud as shit but no SQ.

If I wanted a sealed box. I would have bought a acura type R instead. I hate sealed boxes. Who would put a XXX in a sealed box?? Its weird that you hated the IDMax sealed though, some of the best bass I've heard to date.

the reason its dumb to run a new xxx sealed is b/c you should go to hell if you spend that much money on a sub and dont use it to its full potential. I also prefer the sound of a well made and designed ported box

How are you using it to its full potential in a ported box? The only time you'll be using all that excursion is when its being played below tuning

its .24, for a 12,

.27 for a 15,

and .3 for an 18
