Planning on a Kinetik. Have some Q's?

I just got my SX. im buying my friends bxi1206d. and thats about 1000rms. there have been some good deals on here on kinetik hc800's and 1400's. would i be safe with a 800? the site says get the battery thats close to the amount of watts ur running or something. and when hooking a kinetik up to your car battery, do you hook + on kinetik to + on car battery, then - on kinetik to - on car last? i dont wanna short anything in hooking the batterys up wrong.

are you adding a battery or swapping batteries?

edit: if your swappin out the battery, do the big3 with that 800 and i think you should at least be okay, although the 1400 would treat you a lot better. If your adding a second battery, just run some 1/0ga from + to +, and then - to a ground spot (preferably back to the - on the startup battery)

no im adding a kinetik to the back, i just wasent sure if the 800 would be ok or if i should spring for the 1400. where are you at in WA? only ppl ive seen on here in WA is sku, hes in covington and im in kent.

1400 would be best of course, but you should manage fine with the 800.

and on the 1/0. i know thats best but im kind of a cheapass im in high school part time job. i just bought a knu konceptz 4 gauge kit. would that be alright to run from batt to batt or should i just ****ing buy some 1/0.

how much of a budget you on hehe? i mean, if your that broke use it, but i would personally wait and get some 1/0

well im not broke by any means. but ive seen some prices on 1/0 gauge, and ill need a decent amount to run to back. im gettin a suv soon so thats what im putting all this in. ill probably end up buying some w/e lol thanks for tips.

if need be, you can just run the + to the startup battery, but make sure you have a strong and short ground to somewhere in the back
