Just last week, my Directed 1500D became a paperweight so I was in the market for a new amp for my Treo SSi's. I went to my local shop which is the only place i deal with and picked up a Planet Audio BB1250.1. Well got it installed and vs. the Directed, it sounds so much cleaner and you can tell the amp has more control over the subs. Great amp I wish I would have gotten it in the first place. Plus if your getting it installed by an authorized dealer, it comes with a 5 year warranty.

i owned a p1250d. a very, very solid amp that powered my RE HC 12 very nicely. I, like k4rts, would not hesitate to buy another.

Yes. I have 2 SSi 12.44. I was going to get the Treo 750.1 but they were out of stock and after thinking about the electrical upgrades I would need for that amp I decided that I would settle (power wise). When I orignally got the treos I had planned on getting a bigger amp down the road. I plan on having a SUV in about a year and will just use this car to and from work. That is when I'll start getting into real power. So for now I'm just underpowering those subs. I prolly should have got the TSX instead but like I said when I bought the ssi's I had plans on upgrading to get more power to them.

I hear ya. I originally had 3 CompVr 12" sealed on that directed 1500D then about a year ago a switched to the Treo SSi 12"s ported. It sounded better and was louder of course. I had planned on doing electrical upgrades and getting the treos some more power, right around what you recommended. We'll that never happened because I decided I wasn't going to do anything else to the car because in a year i would buy an suv and that would be the vehicle I focused on. Well the directed blew and I just needed a decent amp to replace what I had. If I had the suv now I would most likely do 4 Treo SSi 15.44 on 2 Treo 1500.1s. But that will probably change cause I hear treo is comin out with new amps. You got any details on those?
