Flying can be really scary, but what I do is just get consumed in music... or a book. It's great. From where you are, it'll be a max 1 hour flight. Just try not to worry too much. Thousands of planes fly per year. They do rigorous inspections on the planes before take-off. It's regulation.

Companies have stretched there maintanace schedules and such before, which ended up in failures of certain parts, due to them not being maintained... and resulted in accidents and crashes...

but also think too, of some of the jalopies that are driving on the road....

flying is not all that bad. i have flown out to CA before. i have family there. what part of CA you going to?
