Places to put subs

try raising the seat 4" and build a custom box, you'll get better output then
This was what I was going to mention.I raised my rear seat with a bracket welded approx 4.5 inches, and still give plenty of head room for passangers seated from the deck.I was able to build a custom made front fire ported box on each side of the ***** hump for a pair of 900 rms dvc4ohm subs@ a 1ohm load. Now Im taking back seat out, and doing 4 tens,1000 rms dvc 2ohm each pair on an amp@2ohms.Raise the back seat up, and you can get it to approx 13 in of clearance. All you need to get a pair of tens up under there

Thanks everybody for your input. While at church today, I came up with a brilliant idea (I have most of those at church) and I'm going to put a rear-fire box between my existing box and my front seat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You could probly get one good ten in a 1.0-1.4cu ft ported box that will more than likely sound better than the 3 subs you keep trying to put in there for the cause. It will only cost you some time, and maybe at the most for materials $20 to raise the back seat, and save yourself another sub/sub box, and time. You will get better results, and can utilize the subs you have by building a larger ported/sealed box/boxes for them, and get the potential use from them..IMO.Trust me..Raise that back seat to at the least 12 1/2 in, and youd be surprised what you can do.Seating will not change much for the passengers,if any at all.Save your money, utilize it.

Yeah. I bought 2 kicker cvr 12s and 2 memphis 10s today. I'm going to sell the memphis and my old quantum and put the 12s under my seat. My buddy has a box for some 12s of similar size and they fit under his and we have the same truck pretty much. So I solved the issue.

carpets absorb only high freq. at low freq carpet is pretty useless at absorbing sound. raising seat is easy and lets you fire forward. I'd get 2 great 8's run ported subs forward port side
