delivery driving is absolutely awesome...i loved it. in most cases, yes u have to pay for ur own gas but just the delivery fee should cover u then tips are urs...i averaged 50 bux a night for just a few hours of work AND made 6/hr on top of that.

I always tip and usually tip big....

Why be a prick like swimfreak, spread the wealth I say

I used to be a delivery driver for Imo's here in the St. Louis area. I had a Kia Sephia, so while gas wasn't a real big deal, it tore up my car pretty good. I put 70,000 miles on it in 4 years, and I went through 7 tires in two years. I also didn't look at the manual for transmission checkups, and since stop and go driving is really hard on your car when you do it day in and day out, at 73000 miles I f'ed it up beyond repair. But, the money was really good, averaging $80 in tips every evening and $300 in tips fri-sun. And all the people I worked with were cool, even if they were potheads. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Point being? That's their job, and they're not doing any of that exceptionally...and you as a customer don't even know if you've got the right order when you're forced to make a decision to tip.
Your argument is like this. A lifeguard at the YMCA opens the pool, cleans the deck, puts in the lanes, takes them out during family times, answers questions about the facility, and oh yeah...protects and saves people. Why don't you tip the lifeguard? It's their job, and you expect all of those things to be taken care of.

When I order a pizza, I expect the order to be taken, cooked in clean pans (health regulations?), and delivered. I don't expect the delivery boy to wait around at my place, make sure I like the pizza, and exchange it if I don't. I don't expect him to drive like an idiot and get into an accident (there are hazards at ANY job), etc. Come up with a valid argument that doesn't say "he does his job, he needs a pat on the back," and I'll listen.

P.S. around here delivery drivers get ~$3 over minimum wage, gas paid for...umm, yeah, sorry, there are jobs that require a lot more work and don't get paid that. No tip man, they don't do a damn thing better than they're expected to to keep their job.
so if i took my precious time and delivered a cold, stale pizza to you an hour and a half late, you wouldnt be mad?

seriously, when people dont tip me, i go back to their house later that night and piss on their front door.

a pizzamans job is delivering the pizza, noone said he has to do it fast, he can take his sweet time if he wants too and be extra "careful" while he's on the road, and you can get your pizza cold as hell swim, and i guess thats fine cause "theyre just doing there job"

I only laugh at this because there are many more people that feel the way I do, and are afraid to speak up because of ridicule.

Call me a douche as much as you want, I am an *******. Just don't get the idea that I don't tip anyone. I tip waiters very well, I used to tip well when I got my hair cut, and I tip if someone does work for me better than i expected. I don't believe in tipping because of social pressures and trends, which is why delivery men are tipped.

you still never answered my question.
Yes, I'd be mad.

You'd also get fired if it happened frequently because you're not doing your job. There are pizzas to be delivered, and if you take an hour and a half on mine, that's an hour and a half you're not delivering other's pizzas, an hour and a half you're not being productive for your company, and an hour and half closer to your termination.

usually, i just leave that one in the store and take other deliveries instead or take multiple deliveries and somehow that one always ends up getting delivered last, so no, im not being unproductive and i AM delivering pizzas.

you should learn how to say 'PICK-UP' on the phone when you call in...

6 20" pizzas dont fit in bags //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifdominos doesnt have that size though
You are correct on both counts.

However! Six 20" pizzas will fit into these long, rectangular-shaped insulated "boxes" of sorts that have a zip-up closure on three sides of the top, the fourth side acting as a hinge. Domino's does have these large order carry cases. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

They still don't offer a 20" pie, though...

driver's remember adresses if your constantly ordering and

not tiping at least $1 you might be getting free extra topings:yumyum: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
