Pitbull needs a loving home

I'm not trying to be a prick. The only reason i ask is because i had one before and when i would beat the shit out of the thing it would piss and shit everywhere and it just really took the fun out of it.

All I got to say is wow. I got two 3 year old pits and a 8 month old running around the house and the only thing i worry about is the dogs tails hitting my son in the face. When they get excited there tails can hurt.

I have a full-blooded pit. I also have a pit/german shepherd mix. They always play but they never get to the point where they are yelping/hurting each other. I have little cousins that come around ALL the time. My pit is nothing but nice around them. They pull her tail, try to ride her, and do all sorts of things that you would think, if she was an aggressive dog, she would snap. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE OWNER AND HOW THEY TREAT/RAISE THE DOGS!!!! The only reason they have a bad history is because of retarded owners. Yeah, they are a very strong dog that could easily kill someone if they tried. So is a rottweilier/german shepherd/and just about any other large dog. Pit bulls are the NUMBER 1 breed. People are just too bullheaded and brainwashed by the media to realize it. People kill other people all the time. Why arent all humans killed for this? You cant fault a whole breed for things some in the breed have done. Stereotypes are the stupidest thing ever. If your great great uncle was a murderer, that means your whole family should be punished for it, since it has to be in your genes, right? Just SHUT THE **** UP! Learn something, and stop being so hard headed.

This is my opinion. I've had a few Pits and been around a a lot of them. I had a dog that looked alot like the op's. He was freakishly smart and intuitive. I'd say the best dog I've ever had. And I'm not young and have had quite a few.

Till he got older then he got mean and would bite alot.

My friends Rednose. Great dog till he got older then had to be put down for biting.

These people that talk about training this and my friend has x of these don't understand that a pit is different. The don't know pits as well as they think they do. They don't understand the breeding it takes to make a pit animal. I do as I studied the breeding of game animals quite a bit as i used to be involved in pit fowl before they got to be to illegal..

When they understand the difference in inbreeding, linebreeding, outcrossing and when to use which method and the results you get then they will see what pits actually are. the only way to set a strain is to inbreed. Pits were not set to gentleness and family loyalty. Thats just a bit of a hold over from what they once were.

He looks like a good dog though. I hope he gets a good home.

Exactly. Pit bulls just are smarter and much more trainable. This is why they CAN be very aggressive dogs, if that is what their trainer wants them to be. If you train it right, a pit bull will be the best dog you could ever have. Very reliable, can do just about anything if trained properly. And another funny thing is, the highest obedience trial record of all time is held by a pit bull.

Wow, you are a shitty parent if thats all you worry about. I hope your pits decide to attack you and not your child when they snap. Way to be a responsible parent
