pit bulls

HAHAHAHA. Thats not a APBT, if anything its an "American Bully." The APBT was bred for work, and i doubt that dog can work at all, and its good that you have found some Pukeanuba to feed as well. HA.
old pics, but the male is was adopted, has tons of problems and is due to poor breeding ethics, but whats new in the world of "pit bulls." Everyone that has a male and a female thinks they need to breed. Every shelter in america is full of "Pit bulls" yet everyone just keeps popping them out, its no wonder this breed is in such poor shape, hell out of this one thread i bet half of you breed. pathetic. Anywhooo..

Male is 3, the Female is 1 now, these were taken about 6 months ago, she is about the same size as him now.

agreed.

anything over say 40-50 lbs isnt a real fullblood pitbull lol they were mixed with mastiff way back in the bloodline. Thats how they get so big. Not dissing them or anything, just stating the obvious. I have owned a 85,90, and 105 lb myself.

we breed sometimes but we keep 9/10 dogs that we get. We only give away to good buddies of ours as do they. But as he said i cant stand the people in it just for breeding to make money. There fu ckin retarded. Just cuz you have 2 pitbulls dont mean you have to breed and sell puppies 24/7

I wouldnt say that either, ive seen some larger bred true bloods, but they definantly werent any bigger then 70-75. I mean, when you look back at the history, they were bred with different breeds of dog, as it was more of a performance dog then a aesthetic dog. The problem with people nowadays is that they are breeding these dogs with mastiff and hanging papers on them, luckily most of those dogs have switched into a new breed called the "American Bullies" but the general public has not realized this change.

Another problem is that most people go by looks, and there are many mixes of dogs that "look" like an APBT, or have the same features as "Pit Bulls." Ive seen some labs that look like "Pits." And people are about as uneducated on dog identifications as they are on the world at large.

/rant.

touche. I dont have a problem with breeding, as long as there are certain things that are met. You need to be bettering the breed, not making your walled fat. I have acutally trained with some of hte best APBT trainers in this area, and ive met plenty of true, dedicated breeders that have been doing it for 20-25 years. The difference is that these people do it because they love the breed, they literally LOSE money on these breedings, after food, vet bills, any surgeries, shots, etc. These are people that cull out bad temperament or bad conformation and are incredibly hard on their dogs, and will NOT sell to the public, if you want a pet, go to the pound.

Just wanted to add some more pics, but this is my favorite APBT that i have ever seen in person, all of 35lbs of pure muscle at 2 years old, she is a performance bred APBT/AMstaff and has agility, and obedience records under her hip already. Beautful animal..

Her only negative (and one that keeps her out of conformation or she would be perfect for it) is that she has less then 10% color on her body.

yea judges down here wont give a confirmation award to a white dog ever. We have 3 or 4 ribbons from confirmation and all the dogs were mostly black.

Ya, sounds about the same around here. She would be DQed anyway due to her not having 10% of color, but she was bred to work anyway, She is just an amazing fcking dog. Obedience titles galore, she knows body parts, left/right, she can distinguish certain colors. For reference, it is Julie Kinseys dog, who is IMHO THE best dog trainer in Houston, possibly TX, and is in the top percentages in the country, has been training APBT for 40 years and has countless awards. She uses a fairly new training method called Bridge and Target.

First, when the f#ck did I ever say anything about APBT, if you read my first post in this thread I specifically said "bully". I ALSO have APBT dogs on my yard, including a few of the countries most respected blood lines, REBEL,JEEP and RED BOY. Again Razor's Edge/Gottiline are ABKC, (American Bully Kennel Club). and my dogs are NOT and was never said by me to be "working dogs" a "pull dog" or any of the likes. My dogs are part of my family, my 4 year old daughter is with me 75% of the time Im in the yard. They are PETS, and I feed my dogs what they have shown they like, just because you might not like the taste of Eukanuba, my dogs do... I have never tried it myself.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
