I've never understood why car audio has such a bad rap and we can get in trouble for playing our music yet all these guys on their dumb *** motorcycles can be louder than **** and they never gets tickets, etc.

I'd much rather sit next to someone at a stop light bumping their stereo than have to sit next to some over powered loud *** lawn mower engine.

they do....

even my car has gotten an exhaust ticket and it has cats and a muffler. A loud exhaust isn't nearly as distracting for the driver as a loud stereo is, that is why I think it should be cracked down on more.

It is true.. And 99% of Harley or chopper owners use after market mufflers.

Exhaust noise violations are very real, but rarely enforced.

Like I said previously, its the attitude of people like the OP that tends to make our hobby get singled out. Ever done 5mph over, and not got pulled over by a cop that sees you?

And many states have sound ordinances on bikes, and/or laws against straight pipes.
