The pioneer TSW304DVC is probably the best sub pioneer ever made. It's rated at 300W Rms and 600W peak and handles these levels easily. Most people purchase these subs and without properly "breaking them in" place them through extreme spl torture levels resulting in damagec voice coils and motor assemblies.
This speaker is approx 8 years old. I finally got one to purchase about 2 years ago as they are very scarce in Trinidad. Here our music consists of extremely low bass notes along wid punchy mid bass and also punchy deep bass notes. I currently have a 800W Boss C600 driving my subwoofer. The amplifier has been tested and is producing an extra 12W Rms per channel from the stated output at 75W Rms Per channel @ 4 ohms.
For anyone who owns a hatchback vehicle or a s/wagon and you have this speaker i have some tips for you.
Firstly the manufacturers enclosure recommendations are shit so throw them away.
to obtain a -3dB rolloff at 32htz your enclosure should be like this.
operating volume of 3.5 Cuft
vented at 33 htz using dual 4.5 inch ports 20" long.
Trust me you never heard 300w Rms sound like this!!!
Extreme subsonic output
loud low bass
mid bass iz harmonic
high bass iz a little softer but who likes high bass anyways!!
and but not least 115dBl of SPL!!!
it HAS been metered and 115 iz the maxed out SPL of this sub at 300W Rms.
U won't be any more satisfied.
only attempt this enclosure if u have enough space at the rear end of your car.
