Pioneer or Panasonic?

I am seeking other peoples opinions on which company makes a better HU for SQ purposes. Panasonic or Pioneer or ?????

Any input is welcome.

I currently have a Panasonic and it works great but I like the display on Pioneers and am not sure if I should change. I used to have a Pioneer HU but it didn't have the clarity of my new panasonic (the pioneer was 4 years old however). Will I be loosing or gaining quality?

I have the pioneer 850mp premier and it is awsome. I wont compare it to panasonic because i have never heard one. I would imagine pioneer premier is better. My friend also has a pioneer and he loves it too.

ur thoughts r wrong my friend. never judge a product if you never experienced one.

i would prob say that pioneer premier MIGHT have an advantage, but the panas can hold in there too. if you want a mix of aesthetics n performance, panas r nice. unless u need some serious stuff, like 8v preoutputs, or some other crazy shit, u should be fine w either one.

well i currently own a panasonic and im loving it so far, i was debating on a pioneer or a panasonic at the begining and i chose the panasonic b/c of the display, but either way u go you will be happy

Thanks for your ideas people I'm gonna stick with my panasonic. I have found to be true by comparing my HU to my friends Pioneer Premier 6500, that the panasonic is more capable of playing burnt Cd's, and it skips less, as far a clarity though I'm still undecided.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

I had a Pioneer 6400 for about a year until I just replaced it. But while I had it it only skipped once and that was on a big *** pot hole. So I would think if your friends is skipping that it is not braced properly. Alos what do you mean more capable of playing burnt cd's? I'm not trying to be a smart *** with that question if that what it sounds like but I just don't fully understand what you mean by that.

when you burn cd's every now and then a burning prog writes cd's that for some reason cannot be read on some pioneer's (and other players including home stereo's), and I can put them in my panasonic and they play

the cd's I burn are fine but ones people give me aren't. His unit is mounted right but his car is just a rough ride (98 integra), and it doesn't help this area where I live has a ton of railroad tracks and pot holes. It's not the units fault just the area and the panasonic stands up to the bumps better.
