Pioneer DEX-P90RS + DEQ-P90 vs Alpine DVA-9965 + H701

Before few hours i sell my 9965 - 701 combo and tomorow i go for the pioneer.I hope i do the best.i hope to get more smooth sound, more natural.I think that the 9965 - 701 have too ''dvd'' sound.
Too "DVD" sound? You might need to explain that one a bit.

With ''dvd'' sound i mean a crisp digital and some hard listening sound.I'am looking for a really hi end listenings, smooth eysy listening ,foul harmonics etc.Sorry for my bad phrases but I'am far away from you.

Considering he's in Greece I think he might be ok //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yep, he will be fine. I forget that we do have members all across the world here.

why would you get the 9965 w/h701.

The 9965 by it self is bad a** but well over $1000 bucks? It would be a waste to get teh 701 with that unit, only thing you would really be gaining with it is the multi channel 5.1 "junk".

i dont think there is going to be that much of a huge difference. i have heard the h701 combo, but honestly, i think that your eq and crossover settings might be what you need to change. the h701 has 1\3 octave eq - play with it and that should easily be able to help your sound.

i see you are using some real high end components in your setup. so i highly doubt your setup is going to change much, if at all, just by swaping the headunits when they are both of such high quality make.

to each his own, i am going with the 701 myself. but i will be getting an DLSA5 and a DLSA4. so yea.

imo - tweak the xovers and eq first.

Hi guys

Finally the P90 combo is faraway from the Alpine. After 9 years with alpine units and the last 9 months with 9965-h701 the p90 is the first hi end listening in my car (maybe the 7998 was near this). Is not about the settings, is only about the sound.I hope you understand me.

Hive a good time
