hmm i'm guessing you are talking about the p9 combo? i believe virtually the combos have the same abilities as far as processing goes but i think the p9 doesn't have a parametric eq while the h701 does. but if you were gonna use graphic then it doesn't matter. i guess if i was your situation, i'd get the what looks best and what is the better price. they are almost virtually the same thing.

P90 is the replacement of P9. not sure if it's available in the US though.

The P90 is nothing more than the P9 with a facelift. A nice facelift indeed but it doesn't do anymore than the P9. In fact the P9 is XM ready where as the P90 isn't since it wouldn't have much use for it. It would be backward compatible with an XM tuner via the IP bus.

I don't know about the Alpine unit but I know for a fact that the P9 does NOT play mp3 CDs.

Before few hours i sell my 9965 - 701 combo and tomorow i go for the pioneer.I hope i do the best.i hope to get more smooth sound,more natural.I think that the 9965 - 701 have too ''dvd'' sound.
