How is this head unit? From what I can see it does not have time alignment huh?

I ask this cuz I have a bud that works at Best Buy. Sadly they do not get the Alpine CDA-9887. I've only used Alpine HU's, but it's been so long since I had an aftermarket system I'm thinking of trying something different. Looking mainly for a SQ unit, 4+ volt preouts, time alignmet... I might go active in the future but I'm not 100%.

It's a nice head unit.

It's essentially a DEH7800 w/bluetooth.

I have the 980BT (premier version) it does have TA and AutoEQ. However it does not have the networking mode for an active setup like the 880prs. Good headunit though.

9800BT DOES have TA, just doesnt have auto TA like the premier

Alrighty. My bud works tomorrow and is gonna get me a price. He can also get me a defected one for free and I could send that in to be fixed? I doubt getting the defected one would be worth doing.

Too much BS to get the HU through him. It's an online item only, I would have to buy it then have him return it... that wouldn't really work so. How does the DEH-P7900B compare to the DEH-P9800BT?

has anybody EVER had a HU where the TEL mute works? i have yet to see it work and ive had 24978429784 HU's with that feature. also how can the 9800BT have DVD changer controls and a TV tuner option? it has no video hookups in the back....
