Rockford fosgate manual was stating there HU don't clip at full, and I was wondering does the Pioneer clip at full?

Maybe maybe not, but still you shouldn't set gains at full volume.

When I had mine I set my gains at 60-65 out of 80. That way with different loudness from one cd to another, I could control it easier than if I had set my gains at full volume.

Because of variances in recordings. If you set them at full volume you have no headroom to use if your recording is too low.
