I was playing the CD the day before yesterday and the unit just turned off by it self. I thought I may had turned it off by accident on the remote but the same thing happened today and I wasn't touching anything. anyone have any idea what the problem may be? thanks

Are you using the internal amps? Just a guess but it could be the unit is over heating and going into protect.
