pioneer DEH-P860MP or kenwood XXV-01D

After owning the 860, and selling and playing with lots of XXV-01D's I reccomend getting the Kenwood. My only major problem with it is (suprisingly) lack of buttons and how little the volume knob sticks out. As long as you adjust it while you aren't moving it's no big deal though.
Or just use the remote. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

Im gonna be selling my Hardly used Kenwood XXV-01D. Again i bought this at Myer-Emco which is a authorized dealer and it was purchased a month ago and im getting it removed tommorow by the dealer and putting in my Premier 860 back in. Its in exactly the same shape i bought it. FLAWLESS. It includes everything that it came with in original box and ive also purchased an extra 2 year warranty thru the dealer for an extra $60.00 so it cost me $560.00 total. Im willing to sell this unit with everything included for $450.00 out the door. I have perfect feedback on EBAY and my username is suleman36 so anyone interested can shoot me a email at sulemanshahnawaz@yahoo.com and i will send pictures. Thanks

Since this isn't your thread, suleman, I'll hope this won't be considered thread dumping but from what I can gather by looking around online and making a couple of phone calls (nationwide free long-distance FTW!) the additional warranty that you purchased through Myer-Emco isn't transferable. Additionally the manufacturer warranty is only valid for the original purchaser - so you'll essentially be selling an un-warrantied XXV-01D. Whether or not the particular unit you have is flawless and in BNIB condition isn't in question (I have no reasons to doubt that it is) but you're going to have a tough time selling a used unit with no warranty coverage at that price considering you can get it for that BNIB from Crutchfield with a valid 2yr Kenwood-backed warranty.

Just my $0.02.

Prowler, I can do $400 shipped to your door and yes it is under warranty thru kenwood and 2 years thru myeremco and i can work it out. Maybe you outta check out my feedback on ebay like i mentioned above. Im willing to make a deal with anyone thats serious.

I'll wish you the best of luck selling it, guy. I already own one so I don't think I need to buy another one at the moment...

Thanks for the offer, though!

I own the pioneer and like having the 13 band eq on it. It really has come in handy for tuning my system. It sounds good, and I like the display. i have always had pioneers because I have had nothing but good luck with them. There are alot of features that I have not had time to tinker with but I am pretty sure you would be happy with the unit.

I recommend both. I do however prefer the 13 Band eq since i dont use an external processor or anything. That really fine tunes your system just the way you want it to sound. The Kenwood has 4 band eq but still manages to put it out excellant sound. The Kenwood is also HD Radio Ready and IPOD ready. So that is the 2 main things that stand out.
