whats the pros and cons on these two units . i know eclipses are better but i need a detachable face i know the eclipse has the secerity thing that they wont work if stolen but it wont stop them from breaking your window and messing up your dash so its either the pioneer deh-p860mp or the kenwood xxv-01 any input will help big time

I own both of them and you really cant go wrong with either. Right now i have a Kenwood XXV-01D 25th Anniverary Head Unit in my SUV and its been in there for 1 month. I bought if from Myer-Emco which is a Authorized Dealer and i got the extended 2 year warranty which cost an additional $60. It is in mint condition with no scratches and barely used. I paid $499 plus $59.99 plus tax for the whole package and im willing to sell it to you for $500 out the door shipped if you are interested. It is one hell of a HU but i have a Alpine CDA-7878 that im gonna install in my car and i also have a Pioneer Premier 860 which i also have my other car. Excellant Head Units with endless options. Let me know

well would you want to hook a brother up with a kenwood? Well to give you advice for the HU's. Both have some amazing features but one definite plus i see from the pioneer is that i believe it has the 13 band eq. This is a great option for going active. Your stuck with the 5 band on the kenwood. Well go to the shop and see which one you like the best. But i wasnt even joking about hooking a brother up. PM if you can?

i will let you know if i go with the kenwood i cant get 2 of them just one so i got some thinking to do i just wish my eclipse cd8443 had a removeable faceplate i love the thing but i seen so guy tying to get in my ride at walmart the other day as soon as i yelled and ran after him he took off and got in a car peeled out of there almost lost my stuff thats why i sold my eclipse and now have to replace it

hahaha i hear most of those stories happening at wal marts. I had a 8445 and sold it because it didnt have a detach face. Jeeze where i live, you leave your car for 10 minutes somewhere and its on cinderblocks by the time you get back. Well i think you would be pleased with both of those choices. It just depends what you want your future setup to be. Yeah please just PM me about it and lets see what we can do?

The XXV-01D has a 4-band PEQ - not 5.

It is independently adjustable for the front and rear outputs, though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

After owning the 860, and selling and playing with lots of XXV-01D's I reccomend getting the Kenwood. My only major problem with it is (suprisingly) lack of buttons and how little the volume knob sticks out. As long as you adjust it while you aren't moving it's no big deal though.
