Pioneer DEH-P8400mp not playing WMA files

I have a Pioneer DEH-P8400mp.

I have not been able to play WMA files on this unit - EVER!

Tried Nero, Roxio, Media player 9, Media player for XP.

Tried finalizing disc.

Tried not finalizing disc.

Tried Disc-at-once.

A disk with 5 WMA and 5 mp3 files shows as having 10 files but the player skips the wma's and only plays the mp3's.

Does anyone have a known playable sample wma file I could try?

Does anyone know where to get the compatible wma codec? (not microsoft's website - already been there)

Has anyone even tried WMA?
