my friend has this deck in his car along with a zx750.1 and 15" L5 in a sealed box. when ever he cranks it up with a cd, the cd skips. now he's only hitting right around 140 or so with it so it really shouldn't be skipping. it only skips with the cd not with anything else like an ipod or such. any ideas why it might be skipping?

now it didn't always do this it just started not to long ago. it only does it when the bass is turned on. my guess is there's something lose in the deck but i really don't want to open it up to check. so i want to see what exactly to look for if i do need to open it up.

Sounds like the laser could be out of alignment or damaged..Need to go to a repair shop for that fix.
