So im not gonna be installing my kinetiks for about 6 weeks and i have them now. How long can they sit before damages cells becomes an issue? I would put a DMM to them But i dont have one right now. Gotta get one this weekend. Any thoughts. I really dont want them getting messed up.

also what can i do to keep them alive and undamaged until I can put them in(six weeks)? BTW putting them in a friends car isnt an option.(noone with a system or that I trust enough).

Don't sit them on bare concrete and about once a week throw a small trickle charge on them...

My kinetik 2000 sit for 6 months before I used it, and it needed a charge but it worked good as new.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You will be fine. No maintenance required if they are worth a shit in the first place.

And the myth about setting them on concrete has been proven false on more than once occasion so not even that is necessary.

Well im sure they are worth a shyt, they are from pioneerpimp. the problem is i dont have a trickle charger. what are my options, should i buy one? are htey expensive can they sirvive the 2 months or so with no maintenence at all?

Maybe go to a auto store and have em charge em soon? And repeat this every few weeks?

Buy a small charger from Walmart for like $20 and use that every week or two. And like Mokedaddy said, the concrete thing is false. My Kinetiks were sitting on a concrete garage floor for a couple months without ever seeing a charger and I've had no problems with them. After all that time without a charger they were still sitting at 12.4 volts.

ok sounds good ill pick one up tomorrow or the day after!

BTW they are at a constant temp of about 72 degrees in my room boxed up. patiently waiting for my car (which has a gp3000dpro and a mt 15!) No more voltage problems!!!!
