Pioneer DEH-245 installation help in 93 Chevy

Recently got this player for free from my friend and I'm having trouble getting the wiring correct. ill just list the steps of what i did.

1. i removed the stock tape/eq slave player

2. removed the radio tuner below the steering column

3. Fed all the wires attached to the radio tuner to the wiring harness that i wired to the cd-player.

4. When i tested it with a test light power is going to the cd player, but neither the cd player or the stock radio will work.

I know i did something wrong but i'm new to wiring an aftermarket player so i have no idea.
