pioneer avh-p4000DVD problems, please help!!!!

ok so i just finished my install for my pioneer avh-p4000DVD, and i tried to ground the lead for the parking brake so i could watch while driving (passengers) but it didnt work. what else is needed to be done or what can i try. has anyone done this with this head unit?????

My installer told me today that all you need is to ground the parking brake lead. Great now I think I need the Bypass box.

I usually use a relay that triggers off the remote turn on wire.

yup jus got done....... used a relay switch between the wire for the e- brake and ground. works like a charm. now i got a temp error message....... any one know what that could be its a brand new head unit. ipod videos work though........

Hi. May i know what have you switched? Also, i thought the parking brake already grounded? so you have 2 wires for the parking brake connected to ground now?

Connect the brake-wire of a HU to the Ground through the switch. When the HU is on, turn switch off and on, then press OK on a screen.

u need to get a regular swith ground one side and the othe side needs to go to the parking break wire
