Pioneer AVH P40000DVD problem!

I have a pioneer AVH P4000DVD head unit and whenever i hook my ipod up to it, the system makes a loud clicking noise and the music only plays on the right side of my explorer. I know its not my ipod and i just got a new cable and it is still doing the same thing. I have the CDI200 cable. Can anybody help me out with this?
