Hey guys,
I have an old Pioneer 600w for about 5 years. Worked great yersterday, not today. Here is the story
The signal wire for the amp is also ran to the amp for the subwoofer. Worked like this since I have owned it. Now, when I turn the stereo on, the sub works but the speakers do not. This means the signal wire from the HU is good, so it must be something in the amp. I took a wire and ran it from the positive of the amp to the signal input on the amp, and the amp turned on.
So now I got home, I hooked a 30a relay to it. Have the HU signal wire as the relay signal and the output is a female connector (soldered and wrapped) with both amp's getting a power for their signal. Sub amp still turns on, stereo amp does nothing.
Jumped the positive of the stereo amp to the signal of the amp, and now nothing!
Could my amp be burnt out now? I checked ALL the fuses and they are all good (the main battery fuse and the amp fuse).
